 Meet the Team

As Endodontists and Root Canal Specialists, we support each other at work and in life, such that our office is a caring environment for both staff and patients.  This allows us to provide an atmosphere in our practice that lets patients feel it is a safe place.  When the patient leaves our office, they know they are better off for having chosen us for their endodontic treatment.  Their visit will appear seamless, as if our office is an extension of their Referring Office.

DR. ROY KALDESTAD

Dr. Roy Kaldestad was born and raised in Hoquiam, Washington. After graduating from Hoquiam High School in 1981, he attended Grays Harbor College for two years where he graduated in the top 10 in his class. Dr. Kaldestad then attended Pacific Lutheran University for one year and was accepted to the University of Washington Dental School after only three years of college. Following graduation from Dental School in 1988, he completed a one year Advanced Educational Program in General Dentistry in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Kaldestad then returned home to Washington and practiced General Dentistry in Mill Creek until 1996. At that time he and his family moved to San Antonio, Texas for two years while he completed a Residency in Endodontics. While in his residency, Dr. Kaldestad was involved in the development of some instruments and was granted a patent for his innovative ideas.

Since 1998 Dr. Kaldestad has limited his practice to Endodontics.  He believes that quality of care is not limited to just the quality of his root canals; it involves the whole patient experience.  Dr. Kaldestad is a member of the Pierce County Dental Society, the American Association of Endodontists, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association. He has volunteered his time on numerous committees and boards over the years with these different associations. He is currently the chairman for the Peer Review Committee for the Pierce County Dental Society and serves as a Scientific Advisor in Endodontics for the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle.

Dr. Kaldestad and his wife have three children and live in Gig Harbor. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family,  weightlifting, water sports, and attending Mariner games with friends and family.

Michele
Front Office
M Scott.jpg

Michele started in the dental field at the early age of 15, working side by side with her mom for a short time.  Because her mom worked at an amazing dental office and loved what she did for a living, Michele decided to stay in the dental field. At the age of 18, she joined another dental practice and learned all the facets of the “front office.”  What does she like about this field of work?  Taking care of patients!

Michele grew up in Federal Way but now resides with her family in Puyallup.  In Michele’s free time her family keeps her busy.  With her husband, 11 year old daughter and 5 year old son, the four of them love to go camping in their trailer.  When home, her husband also likes to teach Michele how to cook and BBQ.  Family is a big part of Michele’s life.  She lives very close to her parents, her sister and family so they spend lots of time together.  Add Charlie, the 1 year old Corgi and Duke, the cat to the mix and Michele is always on her toes.

Deisy has been a dental assistant for nearly four years.  In high school she considered going into dental hygiene school but first wanted to “test the waters” by assisting.  She trained in a private program given by a local dental office and finished her education externing in an Endodontic office…She loved it!  Deisy likes to help relieve patient’s pain.  When they say “that wasn’t too bad,” that really makes her smile.  On her days off, she keeps busy with her husband and two young children.
